Thumbs up Musgo Real Shave Soap

Has anyone tried the Musgo Real shave soap?

This is how it's described on the net:

    "Musgo Real Glycerine Lime Soap
For men who like a completely natural and clear soap for the face, Musgo Real presents Glyce. The large rustic bar is made especially for cleaning the face before shaving. Glyce contains lime oil to refresh the face, castor oil to soak and soften whiskers before shaving, and a trace of alcohol to remove the dirt which restricts razor glide."

I love Musgo Real after shave splash, how it feels and how its scent. However, I've never tried a Lime soap. I love most Almond soaps. So I was just curious. Does it really smell like lime? or does it smell like the AS splash?

    Thanks!
    SlyGi.

It's a lime oil soap, great scent. It's not technically a shave soap, though. I used it in the shower. Don't let me stop you though, before I started wetshaving I sometimes used a regular Neutrogena glycerin bar soap for shaving and had decent results.

    Default Hmmmmm

Maybe I should take a walk on the wild side and try this as a shave soap.

You never know. It's about six bucks, which is a lot for a guy who buys Dial in bulk, but I may give it a try.

It burns my face badly. I've heard others have the same reaction to it. The good news is that any glycerin soap works equally as well. In fact it's a great pre shave prep. Softens the beard well and adds slickness.
