Kriegar Razors??

Thanks!! As with most things I guess you are getting what you pay for. Any recommendations then for a first straight? Should i go with a vintage for cheap and put in some restoration work or should i go for a shiny new Dovo??

if it is your first try and you can afford it go for something that is shave ready. restoring is fine and fun but can distort the shaving progress.

Razors that are shave ready are advertised on this site and SRP. You will also need a strop
There are a number of places to purchase, other mebers will chip in with suggestions

I recommend a vintage razor from a seller on the forums. You can get a quality razor that is shave-ready for $40-50. A new Dovo would need to be sharpened and would definitely cost you more than the vintage razor. Besides, since you're new to straight razors, you don't want to overextend yourself before you're sure about this way of shaving.
