A couple months ago I realized that I can't use an alum block.I get some sort of puffy red reaction from it. A couple weeks ago I decided that I really like Speik aftershave and used it exclusively for a week until I noticed that my face was starting to react in the same way.
After a little searching of the B&B archives I learned that it has a little alum in it. Great. I already gave up that great feeling of the alum rubdown after a shave and now I have to give up Speik. For the time being, I dug out my Musgo Real. It's great stuff, but I don't like the greasy, sticky residue it leaves. I did some more research in the B&B archives and found a tip: give two shakes of the Musgo Real to wet hands to apply. This worked OK today, but I just don't think it performs as well when it's so diluted. The scent has faded much faster than usual and the condition of my skin isn't as good as before.
So, my question is, if you wanted to use Speik, but couldn't, what aftershave would be most similar to it?
Thanks,
~Jeff
