Gillette Single-Ring Serial number placement?

Can someone tell me where I should look for the serial number on an early Gillette single ring? I don't see one on the blade guard.

The earlier Old Types had the serial number on the inside barrel of the opening knob. The later ones had them on the base plate.

The pocket editions all had them on the base plate.

After 1920 most Old Types didn't have serial numbers any longer.

Some rare ones have the serial number on the outside of the handle on the lower ring where the patent date is usually stamped. If it is a british made razor, it wont have a serial number and the patent date on the razor will have some date in 1902 which is when the British Patent was issued. I guess they were more efficient than the US Patent office for getting it approved two years faster... that or not as not as busy; I can imaging pre industrial era US bustling with new ideas and inventions much more than the British.

Let us know what it is btw, I am really curious if it is a british made old standard, which are fare and few between. And also with what Guido mentioned, the 1920s razors will have a Gillette Diamond Arrow logo and "Made In ____" stamped on the blade plate as well.
