Just scored 3 small size C&S No.88 shave soaps! Didn't think they would be in stock, but they showed up at my door today. Can't wait to give the new scent a test drive in the morning.

Apparently, I've turned into a razor whore. I blame you folks here for that.

Hit a flea market a couple of days ago and snagged a few of razors from a couple of vendors. Then I came across one vender who had about a dozen nice looking safety razors. She'd been collecting them for a bathroom display that never happened so she decided to unload them. These are all razors that I've been interested in aquiring so I was pretty excited to find them (w/o paying ebay prices too!). The total haul came to $65.00; I probably could've haggled some to get lower prices but the prices were already so low that I couldn't make myself do it.

@JEEP: Blindes arbejde also sell badger brushes. At least they do here in Aarhus.
They are expensive and mine sheds like a ***** and is kinda floppy. At least the one I bought. Don't regret the purchase though.

Yes Sir, that is the one. There is currently one up that has a reserve and looks excellent. I put a bid in for $81 but didn't make the reserve. I just don't think i can go much higher.

    (actually I put a bid of $85.01)

I had my box of 100 Israeli Personnas delivered yesterday. The guy was selling them on ebay, but I asked how much the postage was to the UK, and it was almost as much as the blades themselves. He said that if I went to his website, then the shipping was free. So I bought 100 for $25, free delivery to the UK. So about £20 for 100, or 20p per blade. Cant really complain about that. I'd post a picture, but it's just a plain white box, and I'm sure you can picture that in your heads :)

Gonna try my first shave with them this evening. Hope I don't slice my face off.

My Windsor and red-tip arrived today.

Here is a pic of the Windsor from the auction...

...and what it looks like now:

Alas there is a small crack at the base where handle meets ball. Not bad for $18. It was $20, but she knocked $2 off of shipping since we are in the same state.

The 1955 red-tip is immaculate. Zero paint-loss on the handle. Sorry about the pic but I had to take it in my room, and those CFL's make everything eerie-looking when taking pictures. It's sitting atop the Windsor case, and come with a spanking pack of 4 Star Blades. $28.

    Peace

This 1902 Kampfe Brothers Deluxe Star just arrived in my box today.
I still need to give it a good cleaning but I thought I'd post it now.

I noticed you were getting the SE razors lately Ray (probably because you already have most of the DEs ).

    How's the SE collection coming?

Edit Oh and...nice box for that one too. Amazing how people have taken care of things over the centuries.

I've got a fair share. I'm fond of the Star razor and the other Lather catcher types. Thanks BTW...

Nice looking brush. I wonder if that is a Simpsons - look an aweful lot like a Polo. If it is you scored big time.

    Yes, condition is excellent!

I was almost all night spent on the internet! Thank God there was B&B chat, because I don't know if I could be awake without it!

And, btw. I got it for only USD $15.50!
