    Default Any girls?

    Any girls on here?

    ... I have a girlfriend now <_<;

Just wondering what to tell her when she sees my straight/DE razors. It's not like she can shave her legs with the damn things...

Don't tell her anything unless she asks. My wife just rolls her eyes at me all this week (just started using a DE) because she doesn't understand why I can't use a "regular" razor. The less she knows the better you are =)

I'll just give her a huge, creepy grin. ::

Why not? Gillette made "lady" safety razors - in fact some men like to use them as they have longer handles to make for easier leg shaving.

I haven't convinced my wife to give it a go yet, but I'm sure she will at some point.

I converted my gf to a DE. She currently uses a Lady Gillette and lathers up with Mama Bear soaps. She says she'll never go back to cartridge razors and foam.

It never ends. I've been using a DE for 5 - 6 years; about how long my wife and myself have been together. She still doesn't get it. In fact, the other day she said "I'm going to buy you an electric."

Similar situation here, although she abandoned Lady Gillette razor I got for her on eBay. She prefers Merkur Classic 1906, probably only because of its attractive handle. I am not sure, but... At least there are no more Venus cartridges on our grocery list, we use same DE blades.

She still likes a scent of MamaBear's "For Women PeachVanilla" shaving soap I got for her too. P.S: dont tell anyone I tried her PeachVanilla as well and I liked it.

The nice thing is "They all look the same" so Razor Acquisition can be pretty easy

Gatto is on here, she shaves her legs "our" way.

Well, there isn't anything wrong with smelling good. In fact, I think women are more attracted to men that smell good.

My wife of 21 years just doesn't understand my interest in DE shaving at all. I can't convince the love of my life that my enjoyment from the whole DE process is now a hobby. She just doesn't get it I'm afraid.

Peach and vanilla are two of my favourite things... I couldn't do that... I'd probably be too tempted to taste it.

Last year I gave away a Gillette tech to a guy I know, his wife is a customer of mine now. She's not my only female customer either. And I don't count my wife as a customer, in case anyone's wondering.

I'm going to put some "girly" shaving brushes up for sale on my site next week as a matter of fact!

My wife also does not get it, thinks it's dumb and could careless.
Cartridge razors used to give me the worst razor burn and ingrown hairs. I used to have large swollen lumps on my neck from the ingrown hairs. I have very coarse, curly beard hair. she used to pull ingrowns out of my neck with tweezers. We used to call it "neck surgery". Now, I get no in grown hairs, get no razor burn, and can shave 7 days a week if I wanted to while saving alot of money on blades.....and still doesn't care.

So ... she knows that your previous shaving routine gave you ingrown hairs so bad that she had to perform 'neck surgery' on you, and your current routine solved that problem? Yet the thinks your current routine is dumb?

    How does that work?

You bet! There are a number of ladies that participate in the forum. Momma Bear (aka Sue, and one of our vendors) posted a story a while back that was just eye watering hilarious.

    Default Convert a friend

Convert someone she respects, male or female, to a DE shaver. My wife thinks I'm always searching for this or that, but that shopping is my hobby. However, we have a mutual male friend who asked me about shaving, even though he had no idea I was a DE shaver. Now he, and a group of coworkers, are giving DE shaving a shot. This will start to persuade her that it's not just your "forum crazies" who are into this.

I've converted my girlfriend and a female coworker. Just bought another Lady Gillette off the bay for my girl to convert her friend over, as well. Get her to try it once and she'll be sold. Cartridge razors irritate ladies as much as they do men.

While my girlfriend hasn't yet seen or felt the benefits of DE shaving on my face because of Winter Break from college, she already loves how I enjoy shaving; also, I'm going to take her to the CO Bigelow store in NYC to let her pick out a couple of aftershaves and creams for me to try.
