Default opinions on Nuetrogena Razor Defense

Any opinions on this stuff? I used it this morning, but it seems like it tightened my face.

Eh. The Clinique stuff is better as far as it goes for a scrubbing product. I have stopped using it and now just wash my face with Cetaphil after I do the hot water rinse. I find that washing my face BEFORE I shave seems to make for a bit more razor skip and loss of slickness or lubrication.

I think it's a pretty good balm. I use it from time to time and find it's quite nice.

Maybe I should specify...I'm talking about the aftershave balm.

I like it in the summer as its quite light and soothing - I sometimes put on two coats - one right after my A/S splash and again just before I finish up with my morning bathroom routine.

It's better than Edge and Aqua Velva, not as good as a nice creme and Nivea a/s. Used in a regimen, I'm sure it will help those with sensitive skin and acne problems, but as I recall, it's pretty expensive and frankly, not as much fun.

Specifically, the "Skin Clearing Astringent After Shave" is good when you want just a little more than witchazel. I haven't used the "Razor Defense® Face Lotion."

I dunno. The area next to my nose is dry for sure. But I've never thought that other areas are particularly dry.

I've reaf some reviews about this product, saying this product is irritating (on drugstore.com ; maybe ur skin reacts tp it

I can't give a good review, as it was my first ever aftershave. I never used aftershave AT ALL during my ignorant shaving days until about 2 years ago.

But as I remember it and comparing it to the Nivea for sensitive skin sample that I have now, I would say they're both comparable. Only the Nivea is a bit less expensive. I think I recall a bit of irritation, but that could've been anything cuz that was during my semi serious shaving days (when I incorporated a daily scrub and an aftershave for the first time).

Hmm... I don't recall getting any drying/tightening from the Neutrogena Razor Defense balm. Is it possible that you didn't use enough? I think I usually get a nice matte finish once it's soaked in & dried.

I use it probably 3-4 times a week and haven't had problems. It is pretty mild, moisturizes and unscented. I love it!

I pat it dry and apply a small pea-size (or pea and a half) amount to all my face, usually. It's supposed to be a moisturizer too.

That's pretty much what I do, and about the same amount too.
