Default A Neat Little Way to End Your Shave

Well, a few days ago (I don't know why I took so long to post this) I ran out of hot water half way through my shave...
    "Oh no!" I thought.
But then I remembered that someone here posted about "The Cold Water Shave".
Now, I figured that I may as well give it a shot since I was on my last pass + touch up anyway, so I rinsed off my razor with some cold water, put it to my face and let it do its work.

    The result?
A wonderful feeling as the cold razor slid across my face, no nicks, DFS - BBS.
    It. was. magnificent.
So, next time you're in the shave den, why not give it a try?

Follow it up with a cold water rinse, alum, AS splash/balm whatever you want.

Do it with something that has menthol in it and it's even better.

    Oh hey, my 100th post!

Sounds pretty refreshing. I'll have to give that a try down the road.

It's not too bad. Granted the only time I've had any real experience with it was during the six days we were without power after Hurricane Ike (we have an electric water heater). It was actually fairly refreshing on the warmer days when I'd use either KHM Cool Mint or CO Bigelow as my cream. I'll give it another try in the summer.

I'm going to give it a try when I shave before work tonight. I'll let you know how it turns out for me.

I've been trying this off and on for the past month, after my last pass i would splash with cold water and go to town with the buffing touch ups.

I'm going to have to figure something out, sometimes its so slick its like i'm using shaving cream, sometimes its so rough i have to stop right away.

On the days that its slick i can buff and touch up so much that i dont get stubble for 5 hours instead of the normal 3 hours.
