  1. Default Body Shop Old Style on Sale now!!!

And only $7.00 a tub. I just picked up 3 tubs at the mall. The sales woman said it was a good thing I got there early. She doesn't expect that it will last very long. So if you want to stock up on one of my all time favorite creams before it is forever discontinued now is the time!!!!

Picked up two tubs. Got an extra 10% off because of my membership, so it was CDN$6.30 per tub... or US $ 5.16! (Got two tubes of razor relief also, for the same price.)

Best of all... it's a very good quality, Made in England cream. Yum.

I thought of buying a bunch of extras to send out to members here, but the postage from Canada would have been more than the cream!

Secured me 4 tubs of yellow nectar. I'm in the process of rigorously pruning my collection of creams, and I will be using a lot more Body Shop in the future. The yellow formulation won't last more than a year or two, I think, but it will be nice as long as it lasts.

You do realise of course that the product might deteriorate quicker than you can use it, right?

JP so you really like that stuff? I love the cream (bought 4 tubs) but the razor relief doesn't smell the same - it's almost like household cleaner? Or have I got a dud or different batch? The cream is in a lighter colour tub but I have an older tube which is the same slightly darker grey as the razor relief...

I'm not too fond of the Razor Relief because of the lack of both scent and cooling. They had a bunch of them at the store I went to and one of the girls there said that the price will drop to around $4.00, maybe less, sometime in January for remaining stock. I think I'll wait until it does. At that price it would be crazy not to buy it.

Yes, it might ... I'm hoping for the best. I was told that it can be stored for about two years. We'll see how it goes.

Those are actually very big plusses in my book. Lack of cooling means there's no menthol in it, which is perfectly fine as menthol provides surrogate cooling at best. True cooling is achieved from liberal usage of cold water, and to a lesser extent from evaporating alcohol. And lack of scent means that it won't clash with any EdT I use afterwards.

(Actually there is a bit of menthol in the product, enough to provoke a faint tingle.)

So which store did you empty? Kalverstraat, Leidschestraat or Kinkerstraat?

All three, actually. I felt a little ridiculous buying more than 10 tubes in one store so I visited them all.

I already posted in the other thread on this subject... I've made two trips to my local TBS, and picked up four tubs of cream, and three tubes of Razor Relief... I may go back for more.

The Body Shop shave cream I liked must have been the formulation before the one currently on super sale. It was a light tan and smelled sorta sandalwood-like.

The Razor Relief smells nothing like the shaving cream. In fact, the Razor Relief as little fragrance at all.

As for the creams, it's the one in the tan container that's on sale, as it's been discontinued. The new one is the Maca, in the dark blue container. (Not on sale.)

I like both, but prefer the fragrance of the old one. It reminds me of Old Spice or Bay Rum, i.e. an old-school smell. The new one is more floral / perfumey (though not overpoweringly so).

I just picked up two tubs. Surprisingly, they charged me only $5 per tub. So an even better deal.

I also picked up a tub for $5 and got the 10% off so it was $4.73 with tax. Not a bad deal I think. :)
