    Talking Mama Bear...Taking the plunge

    Gents:

    Just placed my first order from Mama Bear and would like your thoughts on how I did.

    I ordered:

    Dragon Tears
    Mysore Sandalwood
    Spellbound Woods
    Magnetism
    Rosemary Mint

    I like the more earthy scents and anything with Sandalwood. Cant wait to get them...and then explain to my wife why I needed all of them.

    You cannot go wrong by ordering anything from Mama Sue, Honey Sue, or Saint Sue.

    Looks like you have a nice haul- are they f.o. quality or e.o. quality?

    I think those are all FO (which may have some EOs in the blend), except Rosemary Mint. Not that it is really a quality issue at all, so much as just a preference and an issue of what scents are available how. (See Sue's post a little while back on the advantages of the Mysore Sandlewood FO over an EO).

    Nice haul. I don't have any of those scents, but you certainly will not be dissappointed with the shave the soaps give.

    I'm currently trying to fight off a case of SCAD (or is it SSAD or MBAD) to not buy some of her soaps. I don't think I'll be able to hold off for long though.

    I tried the Mama Bear soap and unfortunatley found that it was very irritating for my skin. I also found the fragrance to be way overpowering and maybe that is why it was so irritating. I hope you have better luck.

    I went and looked at her web site, this morning, with the thought of ordering two or three cakes. When I got there, there were so many choices I was overwhelmed and didn't order anything!

    Don't worry, I'll roll it around in my head for a few hours or days and place an order. I've heard so much about these soaps that I can hardly wait.

    I also placed my first order with her. The variety of scents in her web page is fantastic!
    I can't wait to receive the soaps and she is a great person to do business with.
    We often think of the British soaps and creams, but I think we have the best choices right here in the US.

    I could not find this post for the life of me. Could you give me a link, or, could someone explain the differences to me?

    Ah, fair enough, not that helpful, in a general sense I suppose. I just meant as an example of choosing a frangrance oil instead of an essential oil, for various reasons.

    Anyway, here is a little bit about the difference.

    Maybe that will help more.

    I am really looking forward to the Sandalwood. It was too hard to choose! So I purchased a couple more than planned!

    I ordered the Rosemary Mint and the Lavender. I opened them both tonight, and was bowled over by the scent. Not overpowering, though. I couldn't wait to make lather (which was great!) If you are a little overwhelmed by all the choices, start with something you are familiar with (e.g., the T&H Ultimate Comfort cream, while supposedly unscented, does have a hint of lavender that I like, so I tried MB's lavender. Excellent!)

    I just placed my first order with Mama Bear tonight. After almost two weeks of bugging my wife to help pick out scents, I chose one she liked and one I wanted:

    * Gentleman's Blend
    * Chocolate

    They're shipping on Tuesday...can't wait to try them.

    Just received my package from Mama Bear today. Boy is she quick!

    After smelling each container....I cant decide which one to try first! They all smell incredible!

    I will probably be excited tomorrow morning when my alarm clock goes off....how many times do you say that!
