Chat System Upgraded

Just in time for Jim's tobacco chat, by popular demand, the chat room has received a facelift.

You can access it just like you did the old chat room, by clicking on the more tab in the upper right and choosing Chat.

This new chat system comes with several upgrades. For starters, thanks to our dedicated server, we are now able to host the chat server "in house" which means it should be a lot more reliable, and it should be a lot more accessible for those of you behind strict firewalls.

This upgrade also brings with it multiple rooms. Now when you open chat, you'll have three permanent rooms to choose from: General Shaving Chat, The Barber Shop, and (for you tobacconists) The Cigar Lounge. What's more, you can even create your own temporary rooms. The way to switch rooms is by clicking on the box at the top (next to the add button), and then selecting the room you want to go to from the drop down box.

The last feature I'll mention (there's a whole lot more this chat software can do) is the ability to send instant messages to other users who are also logged into chat. Simply click on their name and choose "Private Message".
