Default Shave retailers in New York City?

I will be in Manhattan this weekend. Anyone know if there's a place that sells British shave creams, aftershave balms, etc.?
    Thanks

141 East 62nd Street and 373 Madison Avenue will give you a shave for $40 if you're really stuck.
Their "Art of Shaving" products seem a little expensive and they're not for me, but hey, you can always flog em' on ebay when you get back home.

You can try Cambridge Chemists. They are at 65th and Madison. I hear they have a substantial selection, but their prices are not the greatest. There is also Pasteur's (sp?). I'm not sure of the location though. AOs is not my favorite store.

Have a look at Cambridge and check their hours:

    Enjoy!

Try on this thread for size. To make a long story short though, there are a number of places worth visiting, but if you want to go right to the best place for all the goods at good prices, the answer is Pasteur Pharmacy on 34th at Park, or Lexington at 62nd.

    Enjoy.

PS - Forgot to mention. If you want a shave, go to Paul Mole, not AOS (unless someone can suggest a cheap old italian guy somewhere, in which case go to him). A touch cheaper than AOS, and not nearly as annoying. Plus they have some goodies to ogle while waiting.

I should also mention (as indicated in Moses's linked thread) Penhaligons and Floris have stores on Madison (70s and 60s I think). I really like the Floris JF soap. I don't know if they make cream. I was a bit underwhelmed by Penhalogon's English Fern soap. Both stores are worth a visit.

Penhaligons shave creams are very very nice though. Pricey, but nice. And hard to find, so you get to have something unusual. If you ask real nice at the store, they might even give you samples....

Thanks for all the suggestions. If I decide to get a barber shave I will definitely try Mole's. We have an AOS store in Dallas and I've gotten a (expensive) shave from them.

Sounds like the first retail store I'll visit will be Pasteur's. Floris appears to be popular among us bladers so I'll probably visit them also.
