  1. Default eShave Fine Badger

Hi all. I'm new here and wanting to get any information I can about the eShave Fine Badger brush. Any of you guys used it? What did you think? I'm new to shaving brushes and just ordered this one, and the Edwin Jagger Super Badger too. Any comments on that one ?

    Cheers

    Default Have not used either

I have not used either of those - but those manufacturers have an excellent reputation.

I use the eShave, but admittedly have little experience. However, I love the brush.

I think the Eshave brushes are good brushes that are a bit overpriced. I have a Eshave travel brush that is pure badger. Overall I think the brush is a solid performer. It is a nice size for a travel brush, has not lost many hairs, and does a good job, especially when face lathering. On the other side, the price was a bit much for the brush. Considering it cost $75 and that I could have had a Rooney Super for the same price, I would consider it to be a lesser value.

I have not tried the Eshave finest brushes but would expect the above comments to hold true for them. I would expect them to be a softer, more luxerious brush than the pure badger that I have. Your brush will be a nice brush that is a solid performer. The brush should last several years and provide you with many nice shaves.

    Default I use it

I truly enjoy it. It's a lot better than my old boar brushes.

I have an EJ super. It feels lovely to the touch and lathers really well in a bowl. I just don't find it very satisfying when I try and finish off the lathering on the face. I find it too floppy.

Of course this may be my inexperience - I have only been DE shaving for 6 months and my other brush is a cheap pure badger from Wilkinson Sword. This brush doesn't lather in a bowl anywhere near as well as the super, but it is much better lathering on the face.

Hope that helps and doesn't confuse too much!

I have a Shavemac 177 23mm knot. The perfect size and quality I was looking for.
