Default Abercrombie & Fitch vintage - NOS

Might anyone here know who made brushes for A&F? (or can your deduce it from the shape, etc...?)

I figure this one is from the late 70's (79 prominent on price tag; also A&F was still doing the "gentleman's accessories" thing then).

I just got it - used it today - it bloomed nicely - a nice brush!

[this is my first 'xperiment with images... it worked!]

Could it be a Rooney? It looks like the Heritage Alibaba (photo from Vintage Blades)

wow! that would be a real find, wouldn't it.

side of the brush reads, "best badger/sterilized/made in England"

I'm very excited - my first nice brush...!

Better pictures of the box (including interior) -- I can tell you if it looks like the Rooney boxes I've seen from that era.

    Cheers.

Thats a pretty cool find. I know A&F has made some odd accessory and used to be a genuine outfitters. I have an old canteen made by them in the late 30's.

They had rifles and shotguns too. My father was left an A&F 12guage in my grandfathers estate.

it came from the bay - $30.

Someone suggested it is similar to a Rooney - a best badger Rooney of this style is about a $60 brush.

I don't know that this is some incredible collector's find - but it is cool for the A&F logo, I think - and because of the pre-teeny bopper A&F reputation as outfitters, &c.

    I really like it!

and if I can figure out how to post pics I've taken, I will update this with a pic of the brush in its bloomed glory!
