SMN pre dopo barba

Anybody used this product? I have the shave cream, which I love and wanted to try the preshave. It is a bit expensive to just up and buy, and I did not find a review anywhere. What do you think of it if you have used it?

Mine is nearly gone. I suppose I should do a review. However, like you, I also really enjoy the shave cream. The pre-shave on the other hand, while fantastic, I don't think I will replace it for the current price.

It's not like the shave cream where you get a larger than average tub. The scent of the one I have is a very light lavender and talc, no menthol. I am not a fan of Proraso shave cream, (which many compare SMN to), but the Proraso pre post seems to work as well if you don't mind the menthol. I just used the Proraso pre/post yesterday with a hot towel and completely wiped it off before applying lather from Pre de Provence shave soap and the shave was top shelf.

So as much as I like this Santa Maria Novella shave product, I can't really recommend it, because of the price, for those that are price conscious. However, for those that don't care about the cost, I highly recommend it as part of a complete SMN shave, from pre to after shave splash.

I had to bring this thread back from the dead - but I am very interested int he dopo barba -does it work as well as pre shave oil?
I think I remember smelling this at the airport and it smelled sweet - very flowery - is that true?

At the airport? OMG, its pricey to begin with but I could only just begin to imagine what it was priced at on their shelf.

yep...they had it for 68 $ - Harmony Pharmacies...they are at JFK, Newark airports and in CT.
THey had their whole inventory of SMN at the time for 50 % off but they had marked up their prices to the point that I did not make a purchase...
