I'm not familiar with what you're referring to. Do you have a post you could show me that you made before the forum upgrade that utilizes what you're talking about?

To hyperlink a word, type the word, then highlight it, then hit the "Insert Link" button. You'll be prompted for a URL, enter it and hit OK. Then your word will be linked with your specified URL.
The way to enter it directly (via code) is:
[url="http://URLHERE.COM"]TEXT HERE[/url]
