Default Do you like D.R. Harris and Geo. F. Trumper?

Do you like or wasn't crazy about D.R. Harris and Geo. F. Trumper?

What scent you like? Do you ever try it? Are they both D.R. Harris and Geo. F. Trumper are Popluar or not too popular?

Rose Cream and Soap are the best! but I never try it. So as the Almond and Avocado and Violet.

You can order a set of samples from GFT for £4 and shipping is free*
I received a cream samples (2 shaves each), 6 cologne samples (generous amount) and 3 skin food samples (decent sized)

My favourite cream is the GFT, but unfortunatly they don't have a GFT scented skin food.

    * It was free to the Netherlands, but I don't know about further locations

Never tried Harris but the only GFT cream that works for me is coconut.

Can't help you with Dr. Harris, but Trumper's Almond is simply marvelous for me...both in scent and efficacy. Their Coconut Oil is a close second.

I have tried GFT Limes but it was too subtle a lime scent for my tastes. I'm a Castle Forbes in your face kinda guy when it comes to lime. I also have their coconut cream, and I am much happier with that. Still on the subtle side, but a bit more presence and just about right for my use. Plus it is not a scent that every other British shaving cream company is making!

    D.R. Harris is tops.

Contrary to others, I haven't been overly impressed with Trumper's creams. However, the soaps are top notch. I do like the Coconut, Rose and Almond though. The GFT is OK.

Hi Chris A. You've asked a lot of questions over the past few weeks, and you've received a lot of thorough and thoughtful responses from many members. Would you mind taking some time and giving a summary of your wetshaving experiences and lessons learned from reading and following up on all of the informational exchanges we've had? I'd like to know where you are in your wetshaving journey. What are you currently doing, what equipment and products have you identified as most meeting your expectations, and what are your plans for hopefully fulfilling these expectations? Here's looking forward to reading your response. Thanks, and please don't stop exploring and asking questions. Best Regards,
    Gary

He looked at himself and knew he had to take a chance on staying long enough to shave. He shaved, and that made him feel better. . .

You ask me a nice comment you have here. When you ask my experience on shaving.

I will explain to you: I'm only 30 years old hard of hearing and have learning disability. I'm normal just everybody else. I just interested on wet shaving about two years ago I think and one day, My younger brother came home from the Mall and I see the shopping bag and it says "That Art of Shaving" and I said to myself "I never heard of it". So I went to the website at www.theartofshaving.com and look around the product. I'm very interested about wetshaving.

I didn't buy it until few months which is a year and a half ago. I try the Sandlewood pre-shave, sandalwood cream on tub and sandalewood after shave balm. I really like it but I have get to use it.

But now, I want something different. I want to try the soap and the cream with different brand. I want to have a new experience and feel like. I heard that Truefitt & Hill and Taylor of Old Bond Street are very good. I really want to get Merkur 34 C HD Safety Razor so bad, but I have to save my money. I had to give my Mach 3 Turbo razor and cartridge razor. why, cause the cartidge razor are little expensive. And the single blades are cheaper.

You see, I'm always ask so many men to ask a advice what is the best shaving Cream and Soap. I read a reviews on cream and soap by different brands at reviews and wikki section. I'm thinking I'm going to get Taylor of Old Bond Street, because, it cheaper to buy and it a better quality. T&H is also a excellent cream and soap but I'm not sure to get it but too expensive. I'm very curiouse person.

Good morning Chris. Thanks for your reply. I think you are wise to ask advice from the members of this shaving forum, because the ones who are answering have been through similar processes over the years and months past, and they have had the same questions as you. That's definitely the best way to learn. One thing for sure, if we don't ask, then we're probably going to make more mistakes, and may be spending our money in ways that might not be best for us. That's why I was asking you for your experiences and your expectations. I've only been around on the shaving forums for a couple of months, maybe reading them for a few more months before signing up. Obviously, there are a lot of guys who have been around much longer, and you are correct to be asking them for their advice, because they have a wisdom that only comes through the passage of time and from making mistakes and learning from those mistakes. I wish you very good fortune, and the only piece of advice that I might be qualified to give you would be to join in and post your experiences and your successes and failures, along with the inevitable questions that we all have. Best Regards,
