Ok, I've heard great things about the products from Santa Maria Novella, but where are you guys getting them? Is there an online source?

Amazing colognes. They don't come cheap but you get what you pay for.
There's a few other online sources I've come accross, but the prices are the same and the selection is better going straight to Lafco NY.
I have bought from www.aedes.com
Is there any place to get samples or small decants other than the small selection at perfumed court? I hate buying blind.

I had a good experience with lafco, and they'll send out samples for $2.50 a piece.
Lafco NY seems to be the best source. Be warned, in my experience, their customer service stinks. Don't bother asking questions by email, they will not generate a response.
Interesting, my experiance was in fact by telephone, and even though i did sense what i would consider "east-coast jackassary" we had a very fun conversation, and she didn't charge me for 2 of my 4 samples or shipping.
I however, have not been east of nebraska... and my perception of the east coast is just not immediatly friendly until you are friendly first.

We dispense with the pleasantries and save everyone's time. It may come off as rude, but we are just trying to save you time and cut the BS. Here it's considered rude to occupy someone's busy day with chit-chat while speaking with vendors. Just the facts ma'am.

Bostonians can experience/sample some of them at Louis Boston (or could have as of last Christmas), but be warned: it's Louis. Expect the attitude.
So it is either attitude at Louis or silence/east-coast-jackassery from LAFCO NY? With all the great vendors catering to our unique niche, its kind of hard to patronize either. Hmmmm....
I've never experianced any attitude from someone from either New York or Boston except when they were in my part of the country. In their own environment, I've found them to be very pleasant.
Back on topic... I'll have to give them a call and let them know what I'm looking for. I don't like to waste vendors' time nor do I like to have my time wasted, but that's just me.

Let us know how it works out for you. Perhaps I just had a bad experience with them. I will say that Lafco doesn't mess around - they ship your order tout de suite.
