Smile MACE. The Items Under My Care...

    'Ello, 'ello

Time to post some pictures of the items I use.

I'll start with some of the razors I don't use to often.

I hope the box and razor belong together?? Made in the USA.

A Swedish Matador DeLuxe in a bakelite case.

A Gillette Adjustable. USA E3. (Year?)

Here's an odd one for You. A STÅKO Prototype in stainless steel. Made in Stockholm in 1953.

Move the rod up and down to hone the blade.... what

A Gillette, USA. Well used, and then some. Nice patina if You ask me.

    A Gillette ...something England.

In case You can tell me more about the razors, please do

That's it for now, more pictures at a later stage.

    All the BEST!
    /M

Thanks for sharing, Mace! It's a nice collection & nice to see some examples other than the usual US & UK items.

Mace, nice stuff. That looks like a Milord razor so I'd say the case is right. The Matador DeLuxe - is it 3-piece? Very cool looking. Vintage or new?

Slim Twist ehhh! I like the name Thank You for letting me know.

The Matador is vintage but I don't know how old, and yes it is a three piece.

    The Gillette E-3 is a 3rd quarter 1959 Fatboy.

If you don't use it that often, I suggest you do, I have the same exact one as my daily.

Wahaaa Six years older than myself

I have used it and will use it again!!

I tend to try a new razor at least two or three times when I get it, so as to get to know it. They are then thrown it in to general rotation.

    Thank You!

Good pics! Any info on the "aviator" Looks like a gillette old type style head. Is it adjustable? how does it come apart?

PS! Would it be preferable to ad new razors to my first post or just pop them in as a new post as and when they arrive??

Wow! I've never seen a razor like that online before! If you don't mind, could you take a few more close up pics of how the honing mechanism works?

    Default More razors..

A few more from the bathroom

I would say that no six from the left, the Gilette, is the one i tend to use the most.

Here are a few more pictures of the STÅKO in action. The blade is actually stuck on there with the help of a spring operated clamp that slides outwards to keep the blade in place.
The moving clamp is the one to the left just above the MV in a circle.

I do not believe that the movement one gets from moving the actuator rod up and down is for honing. My best guess would be for de-clogging the blade when rinsing!?!

Hmm! Could do with a clean..

    All the BEST!
