Is anyone going to join me in the manly activity of growing a beard for the winter? Its gonna be a cold winter...

Why not? After all, what this site is all about, more than anything else, is not shaving.

I've been wearing my winter beard since 1996! But I do love a good daily shave of my neck.

I always looked forward to my winter beard....but since the noggin lost the battle of hair growth...I keep it slick at all times...The beard w/shaved head???Hmmm I'll have to give that some thought!

I used to grow a winter beard every year. I always made sure to keep my neck clean, though. Nowadays, the only facial hair I have is the moustache and goatee and slightly longer than average sideburns. The girlfriend doesn't like the full beard and as such, it had not existed the past few winters.

If you still want to grow a winter beard, I'm there with you in spirit.

Besides you're not going to get any of this if you look like this :9898:

I usually keep a stubble beard during the winter. I'm curious to see if shaving with a de makes any difference in my beard.

Most or all here would agree that the initial stubble does feel quite different using a DE...IMO..and I'm guessing...that once it grows out a bit it will feel preety much the same.

I didn't shave for about 25 years, and I'm enjoying my razors and soaps too much to go there again, at least for a while.

I had a job at one time where we were so busy during the holiday season, that I would not shave for that entire busy period.

Beards and me don't go well together. I had all the sex appeal of a U-Boat crewman returning from patrol in the North Atlantic, and some of my women coworkers had the spine to inform me, and I love them for it. I won't be able to join you, gents!

Mine's already in. I still shave my upper cheeks and neck every day though. I'd look like the wolfman if I didn't. My beard grows up to my nose if I let it.

It's all fun and games until someone looses an eye. Then it's just fun.

I can't comment on a U-Boat! But if anyone cares to know what a Submarine Sailor looks like after a long patrol....Maybe our few lady members could comment...Hey...maybe it's "Dead Sexy"

I have a moustache and goatee now. I've noticed that's actually what helps the most in the winter, at least for me. Moustache seems to protect from the wind.

I can't grow a good one. Maybe a chinstrap, but that makes me look like a leprochaun! Besides I enjoy shaving too much to let it go!

    Nope.

Probably more grey now than I could tolerate.
Adds at least a decade to my appearance.

Well i already gave up after 3 days. Its funny, just the fact that I was consciously trying to grow a beard made it so hard. I used to go months without shaving simply cause i hated doing it, but now with the DE I look forward everyday to the morning ritual. I also blame this website, its way to hard to grow anything when you're on B&B 2-4 hours per day!

I'll probably grow the Van Dyke back after Thanksgiving.
