Do most alcohol based aftershave splashes have more "burn" than Booster's?

While I can't comment on the others you mention, I find Boosters (I use the Iced Lime scent) to be quite mild. I use Aqua Velva also, and there is simply no comparison. The Aqua Velva has substantially more burn (and also cooling), and even AV is timid compared to Old Spice AS.

I have yet to have Boosters give me any kind of burn. I own Polar Ice, Oriental Spice and Mosswood. DR Harris Sandalwood AS can tell me exactly where I was a little too rough on my face.

I find Booster to just sting for maybe 2 or 3 seconds upon initial application and then that's it.

I previously discounted alcohol AS as something which would just be ultra drying and painful, but I've found I kind of like it. It doesn't dry out your face overly and if you have a little nick here or there it's pretty good at stopping the bleeding of it quite quickly, though I'm not sure just how that works.
