Today was a good day for me.
1) Tabac shave soap
2) Tony Miller red latigo/canvas strop
3) Tony Miller paddle strop w/diamond pastes (3.0, 1.0, 0.5; Haven't received CrO yet)
In the next couple days I will also receive:
1) Mama Bear soaps (Sandalwood/Vanilla and Earl Grey)
2) Wapi 5/8 str8
Two "Double Arrow" straights from stamps on the `bay.
Pretty damn nice out of the box, er, envelope, but took `em over some 3M abrasive film mounted on 1/4" glass and oooo-boy... shaaaarp.
I greased them up with some gun oil and put them away until I get around to rescaling them.
re the Clubman Special Reserve - I used it tonight after shaving with KMF Peaceful Patchouli - a combination that just wont be beat!
enjoy your SR!

Well, what came for me over the past few days was:
-blade sampler from westcoastshaving (the economy one)
-samples from Truefitt and Hill (the creams, is there enough for two shaves in them?)
-and what I think is a 'new style' Gillete from the 30's, can anyone help identify that anymore? this was free from the family basement! can't wait to give it a try.
A coworker told me a couple of months ago that she had a couple of those "old style" razors.
She finally brought them in, a Z1 Fatboy (1979?) and a E4 Blue tip flair SS.![]()

Two bowls Nomad from C&E and a Shavemac 501 in finest from Jim at Vintage Blades. I'm extremely happy with the performance of both![]()

and some nice samples from shavingessentials.net!

my 1979 black handle is a Z2 so it must be.
Ended up at the T&H store in Chicago and bought a Dovo 5/8 stainless w/ebony scales. Did the edge tests and found it to be shave ready. Can't wait for my beard to grow back!
I just got a very nice package from Shavemac a few days ago. I got my vintage Simpson Polo rebristled with a 20mm knot, 46mm loft, and another genuine horn Shavemac, but this time I with a 23mm knot and 44mm loft. At first I thought that similar to the Rooney heritage brushes, it would hog too much of the lather, but that is not the case. Both brushes are amazing! I took these pictures post bloom.

Last week I got two tubs of Honeybee Essentials - Bergamot and Floral Euphoria - both are excellent
