rooney silvertip or shavemac silvertip 177?wath is the best for shaving cream?

i've been a big rooney proponent for a long time but now i'm starting to think that they may be a bit too dense. The shavemac is less dense and really soft, but, in my opinion, shavemacs have become a bit overpriced. I would recommend, for a great great cream brush, checking out a kent bk4. with the exchange rate the way it is, you can pick one up for about $55 right now, a steal.

Both will work beautifully. I have the 177 and the Rooney 1/1 in Silver Tip. 2 very different brushes. The shavemac has more give, its more cloud like going over your face as you work the lather. The Rooney bristles are a bit sturdier, a bit more backbone, because of the shorter loft. The hair tips on each are very, very soft, no scritchyness or prickliness at all. Its a very subjective thing. I love them both and wouldn't trade either one.

I would say the Shavemac would be better for creams only.
