Leather For Paddle Strop

Hi

Strapped for cash at moment so i made a 4 side paddle. Need some leather (already got a 2 sided balsa) anyone know what and where to buy suitable leather?

You can get some from shoe repair shops or saddle shops. They sometimes have scraps of leather for a cheap price. You can also buy natural cowhide strips from Tandy Leather Factory. If you buy the 3"x50" strip, you'd have enough to cover four sides at 12" each side.
