    I could but I haven't.
I made the lathe with an out board spindle but I've never used it.
I've got about 4 1/2 feet between center but the longest I've turned are baseball bat about 3 feet.

    Default I'm envious!

I used to have access to a workshop with a great lathe, grinder, and chisels. The shop had a lot of pieces of Koa wood in piles that where too small for furniture but perfect for bowls. Unfortunately, I'm living somewhere else now without access to the tools. Some day I'll be back into it again.

Just received my plated custom handle from Bob's Razor Works! It's even nicer than I expected. All my other razors are jealous.

Here's a picture of a razor handle and a brush I just completed.
Both are turned out of Afzelia burl.
The burl came from 2 different source which is why they don't match color wise.
But they were made for 2 different people.
If necessary I could have stained the razor handle to match the darker brush.

Man, I can't wait to get back home to get to my order.

All the best Bob, one of my silent questions when looking at all the vintage razors with bad handles was why it was difficult to find replacements.

Cooncatbob's handles have a nice feel and balance to them. Here is mine on a gillette new head.

I'm down to 2 of the Plated Progress knobs.
Next I'm going to make a shortened knob so my Progress will fit in the Vintage chrome case that the Hoffritz slants came in.
I'm sending a batch of parts to the plater tomorrow.
I've made 10 spindles for the composite handles and I made 4 HD styled handle 2 are spoken for but the other 2 are up for sale.

I'm due to get 10 spindles for the composite handle and several HD style handles back from the plate shop.
I should have some new stuff which I will add to the slide show.
