Thumbs up Only once in lifetime

    Hello
This morning was a special for me. I made my first straight shaving and the step to the new world has been taken. I really enjoyed it with full heart. I have not hurry to go anywhere just to spend all day at home and nothing serious to do. So I spent a long time in bathroom and having fun and de-stressing.
The shave wasn't bad at all but like all know it wasn't the best either. Cheeks and under chin areas are larger and flat and they are easier to get quite well done. I used wtg + atg passes but have to say that in a harder spots the passes were something between wtg/xtg/atg. I change the grip many times especially in harder spots and it changes the passes too.
One question pop up during shaving.
Do you move your straight by sliding it with a long movements? Cheeks and under jaws are easier to slide in wtg passes but what about atg (or xtg)? I noticed that some points was easier for me to do with blade buffing just like with DE (mantic videos are great too).
I think the sliding itself improving all the time for just practicing it every day.
I have wished many times during last weeks that God, let my beard grow faster....

    Hello Tony,

I make long passes. The edge is so sharp and smooth that I don't need to do blade buffing.

Stretch the skin in any pass and you'll get better results. Blow up the cheeks, stretch the neck, anything that works.
Congrats for trying it out. I've been str8 for three years and love the difference in the shave I get. I do try to slide the blade at an angle on the neck, challenging? What the hell, live life to the fullest. Experiment, carefully.

Congratulations on the shave. Sounds like you had a good experience. I personally seldom find the need to shave ATG with a straight but this is one of those YMMV things for people.
Good Tea Drinking and Shaving! Best regards, Steve.
