Helle, My name is Chris....I found this place when looking for advice on how to use a DE safety razor after I learned how economical they are.
Imagine my surprise at learning that not only are DE blades cheap, but they do a fantastic job on your face.
I ordered up a Merkur long handle classic right away.
I have been shaving with a brush and soap for about 8 Years so my lather making skills are already there, but I was never able to avoid razor burn and irritation with the Mach 3 and disposables I was using.
My razor arrived last night and I was blown away.
Closest shave ever with no nicks or irritation.
Well, on my cheeks at least....I think my healthy fear of the blade prevented perfect results on my neck, but I can't wait to shave again and work on my technique.
