I agree! I was going to post the very same thing, then I saw that you've already said it better than I could have. We have relatives in Louisiana, and the only way we could get it was at the grocery stores, whenever we went down there (in addition to the wonderful Blue Runner Creamstyle Beans that we use to make Red Beans and Rice). The good news for me is that now several local grocery stores including Target now carry Community Coffee here in Oklahoma City. You get a full pound of the regular coffee, and the prices are OK, not too expensive. I like the Medium Roast, which seems to be the biggest seller. I also enjoy the Cafe Style and the New Orleans Blend with Chicory, (those are 12 ounce bags, if I am correct) for about the same price. Thanks for mentioning Community. It is a top quality coffee that is certainly deserving of a prominent mention here.

. . . He went around back and into the basement because he was hungry. He ate cold beans out of a can and drank some water, and then he saw the small mirror Parker had bought with the razor and the can of lather. He looked at himself and knew he had to take a chance on staying long enough to shave. He shaved, and that made him feel better. . .
For me its the best coffee available. I was born and raised in Louisiana and it was the coffee my folks and extended family used when I was growing up. In the seventies and eighties my folks would send it to me. For the last seventeen years I have been in Oklahoma and I would pick up 20 or 30 bags when I would go down and see my family.
I did see it in Target last week and brought the last four bags of medium roast on the shelf. My wife enjoy's it every morning as I'm the one that gets up early and makes the coffee. Lets hope its a mainstay in Oklahoma City now.
Now, has anyone seen Steen's Pure Cane Ribbon Syrup (yellow can or brown bottle with yellow label) for sale in Oklahoma City.

I have always enjoyed Community coffee (isn't it "Community House"?), but never really bought it. I usually just have it when I'm in Louisiana.
I'm not sure why.

It is quite good, is the brand I typically get. My favorite is the Private Reserve Breakfast Blend...excellent
there is a rest area on I-20, just West of the Mississippi River that has complimentary coffee inside, always "have" to stop there when we pass![]()
