    Default Wooden Bowl Care

I've just recently begun using triple milled soaps in wooden bowls. How should I care for these so they don't get ruined with the water and lather they come in contact with? Should I be rinsing and drying it after every use?

I've been drying my T&H bowl after every shave, but now that I'm near the end of my puck I can see a small crack forming near the rim. I attribute it to the warm water that sits on the soap during my prep time. When I use up the last of my puck, I think I'm going to give the entire bowl a few coats of some oil (probably tung oil) for maintenance...

After each shave, hold the bowl upside down to let all the water drip. Then wipe the edges and outsides with a towel. Finally, leave the soap to dry till you get home in the evening.

I've been doing this for a couple of years, and my wooden bowls are as good as new.

Like Stauff said, let all the water drip out and wipe them with a towel.

    Default vintage?

What about the nice old yardley bowls? Any idea how to shine those up?!?!

i realize bringing upwards of 70 year old wood bowls may be a stretch... but of course pride of ownership can do wonders...
