    Default spanish coffee

heres the backstory: i was dating a hispanic girl about 10 years ago (jersey city. yes, i know...) and i dont remember if she was spanish, portugese, or what, but she made this coffee that was mindblowing. it was super strong but super smooth; tasted amazing. now i know true spanish coffee has booze in it, but this had none.

does anyone know what im talking about? id really like to learn how to make it.

It's hard to guess what she was feeding you , but you can start with Bustelo Coffee and a stove top coffee maker, without breaking the bank.
For some reason, the smaller ones make better coffee, less water I guess.
Once you find what you're looking for, then you can move into more expensive items.
You can find the coffee at any supermarket.
By the way, this is what we use at home on a daily basis,

True, in a round-about way. The water volume per cup of coffee is the same, but the smaller water volume heats up more quickly, meaning the coffee in the filter is "baked" for a much shorter time.
    Spoiler:
Volume increases proportionally to the cube, but bottom surface area proportionally to the square of the number of cups, roughly, and heat transfer only increases proportionally to the bottom surface area -- see, told you geometry is valuable in everyday life!
You can improve the coffee in any moka by preboiling the water, but that takes much of the convenience factor out of their use.
What colour is Aqua Velva? Hooloovoo, because it's hyper-intelligent!
