Wow that's a messy micromatic. But it's brass, so go at it for a while with polish and it should come out looking great.

Don't do it.

Letterk still has one for sale for 10$ shipped and I bought the other one and it looked like brand new. But it is open comb vs safety bar.

I am no expert; but $20 seem a rather steep for that one.

Unless someone else chimes in that it is exceedingly rare I would either pass or barter them way down; say $2...

Not worth $20. Possibly not worth $2. However it would be a good one to practice cleaning and polishing on. Also while being cosmetic it would probably shave the same as a clean one so if you cleaned it WELL, then you could try single edge shaving if you want.

I paid $5 for mine with a case and blade holder. That was probably too much. I don't like using it. I just wanted to have one and give it a try.

Try checking out antique stores, rummage sales and second hand stores. I just bought a 1965 Gillette adjustable w/ case for my son at an antique store for $5.
