Bumps on my neck

I have a couple of bumps that look like they each are the size of one-half of an eraser, kinda like zits. I think they may be the ingrown hairs, and they have not gone away after a week. They do not hurt and I think I got it the last time I tried to shave with a Feather straight before I sold it. Any suggestions on what to do?

You could try a dab of cortisone (sp?) cream and the dermatologist if it lasts more than a week.

Sam,
Are you sure these are not pilonidal cysts that have migrated north for the winter? Could they be from all of those nasty Simpson hairs?
Usually ingrowns hurt like the dickens, so I am somewhat skeptical of your assessment. Have you noted inflammation or exudate?
Could be they are nothing to worry about, such as "terminal" neck bumps.

They do not exudate and they do not hurt. I have some steroidal cream I have used off and on, maybe 2 days, and I will be more diligent. They are adjacent to the adams apple so trying to squeeze them kinda chokes me, (LOL) and nothing happens or comes out.

Sam, you're as bad as a teenager for goodness sake! Squeezing that delicate and tender area is enough to have the tissue swell (hydrocel mean anything to ya'?). (And don't get any ideas about a viagra replacement! )

Hydrocel? Are we talking car batteries? So, don't squeeze it?

In a single word, YES!

I have two or three left out of the 5 or 6 similar bumps I got when I used Shaver's Secret oil and blade buffed my neck like a madman. As far as I can tell they're just unusually stubborn zits. I guess there is such a thing as too close.

If they fail to go away after another week or so I'd see a doctor as they could possibly be sebaceous cysts and will only go away if removed. It's very minor surgery.

The fact that they don't hurt is what leads me to believe they may be so. I've had a couple of them myself. They can be removed in the doctor's office.
