  1. Smile Feathers are the best!

I just got home from a weekend of traveling, which I did not shave at all. I threw a Merkur blade in my HD after my shower and started shaving, lots of tugging. Figured prolly poor prep, which I'm sure it was. Anyway, decided maybe a sharper blade like the feather would be worth a try at the moment. So, after my initial pass N-S with the Merkur, I put in the feather in and a N-S pass. After a little touch-up, the smoothest shave I think I've ever gotten. I think feathers just became my blade of choice.

I didn't like them before, but they are one of my very favorite blades to use now.

Heh, yeah. As I mentioned in previous posts, I did derby then red packs, and now settled on feathers. They are the best blades for my face sofar. I will still be trying others, as I have 2/3 of my sample pack to use still, but I think feather will remain my blade of choice.
Deffinatly strop it though, they were giving me alot of RB before I tried it. Search for 'corking' or 'glass stropping' in forums and you should find something usefull if you don't already know what I am talking about. It gets all the metal burrs off the blade edge and makes for a much more comfortable shave. YMMV as always, but this works best for me. GL!
Watch out! There's a new barber in town!

    Default Feathers

The belief by many people is that they are the sharpest. Sharpest is not always best but for me and my face they are best as well.
The company makes surgical instruments. They know what they are doing for sure.

I respectfully disagree; if is used for cutting you need a sharp blade, from knives to scalpels to razors. Sharper is also safer.
