Finally got a chance to use my new DE (Gillette slim) and WOW. Got fantastic results with decent prep and decent Proraso lather. Only missed a few spots and had very little irritation considering that I had sunburned my face and ripped it apart shaving for a week out in the field.

Onto some advice from you fellow Seabees, Marines, Soldiers, campers, and anybody else who spends time outside in the field without running water and only a canteen and cup: HOW DO YOU SHAVE?!!!

I tried using a M3, and using single blade disposables, all with hand lathering Proraso, and got an ok shave but ripped my face apart with severe irritation and it took forever. Do you all just use electrics (which I forgot to bring) or do you have a reasonable and compact solution?
