Default ... getting on the Pu-erh train ...

... and I just want all you enablers to know that I'm not at all pleased with you for taking advantage of me this way. Tho' I do acknowledge that I should be stronger.

Just four samples from Hou de to start. Not yet out of control. (And, Jay, don't be messing with my font. )

That said, what vessel do I want to brew this stuff in?
    Gaiwan?
    Yixing pot?
Any rules-of thumb for for leaf:vessel ratio? Brewing time(s)?

And do I want to get a smaller drinking cup (as opposed to my habitual 10+ oz. mug?

A pox upon all your houses.

Let me tell you, this is one of the most serious disorders you can get... my shelves are full of tea after the evil Hobbesoxon got me hooked.

Yixing is best, but a cheapo gaiwan will work fine. Just remember lots of leaf and not much water. I'll use 5-8g of tea in a 100mL vessel. Start with flash infusions of a few seconds each and go from there.

Good choice, Houde samples are decent. Cakes there are... quite expensive!
