Probably has something to do with it. You might also have a product that's performing pretty good, but not quite giving you the results you want. Rather than throwing it out or having it sit on the back shelf, you might add a 2nd product to it improving it's efficacy thereby alowing you to finish off the 1st product.
Or it could just be mixing and matching is so much fun.
