Pilsner Urquell. The original Pilsner beer, brewed in Plzen, Czeckoslovakia since 1842. Still the best commercially brewed beer I know of. Rich and creamy smooth. If you live in the southeastern US, Publix food stores have it in their catalog and some of them carry it. They do if they're in my neighborhood. If you're fortunate enough to find it on draft, do try it.
It's even better when chasing a shot of frozen Chopin vodka down your throat.

There's a Seattle brewery, Pike Place, and they make a stout called XXXXX Stout... So amazing. I used to get it when I lived in Victoria. AFAIK they don't ship it very far from Seattle. I still have dreams about that stout...

I have to say Spotted Cow by New Glarus Brewing. I was introduced to this fine Ale by some fellow student when I studied in Milwaukee, WI. Its too bad I can't get it here in Norway/Europe.

I live an hour from Milwaukee and the Wife and I visit frequently. There are so many local beers that would likely knock your socks off! I was in Sandefjord, Norway for a few months and remember drinking a beer called Gull or something. Sound familiar?

Just finished off a Mongo IPA from Port Brewing. Best bang-for-your-buck IPA, IMO.

For me the best beer in bottle is the Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier...very good at best price...not a commercial beer with same flavour but a particular good beer that isn't common

Aahh, that sounds lovely. Next time you and your wife enjoy a beer from New Glarus have a sip for me, will ya :)
Yeah, Sandefjord is right across the Fjord from where I live. (Fredrikstad)

Was the beer you drank called Ringnes?

I like Red Stripe, or Kalik if I can find it. But I can't fault PBR, $12.99 for a 30 pack!

I love that the Port beers have made it back east! If you ever are in San Diego you have to stop by the Port Brewing/Lost Abbey tasting room, really great stuff... and tons of other top-notch breweries in SD, well worth spending a day (or two) checking them out

It rotates. I just came off a real hop-head kick (don't get me wrong, still love me some IPAs). But right now, I'm really enjoying most anything from Belgium. The heat calls for a good witbier, but the occasional golden/strong is nice as well.

Two excellent commercial examples come from a local brewery: Triangle Brewery's White Ale and Golden Ale. Of course, Allagash being a bit more widely available offers some nice Belgian beers.

Most real ales. Great British Beer festival in London coming so I'm sure I'll get a new favourite after that.

I'm a sucker for a nice pint of Old Peculiar though.
