Default Requesting info re: Gillette Sensor/ATRA

While my Merkur Vision 2000 is in the shop for repairs, I have reverted to my backup razor, a Gillette TRAC II. I bought a few months worth of cartridges on eBay, but when they arrived I realized they were the wrong item. They must be for the ATRA or Sensor handle, but I am not sure which one. Now I have to get a handle to fit these blades or toss them and buy one of those five bladed things that are the current standard. My question is this, will cartridges for the ATRA fit a Sensor handle and vica versa? I am grateful for any assistance.

Unfortunately, they do not interchange. If you can post a picture, I could tell you what you have.

All of the drugstores near me stock atra and trac II compatible cartridges very cheap. (something like $5 CDN for 10 cartridges) I guess stores don't carry them around you?

Walmart now stocks Trac II blades for the Trac II razor and another brand also that fits. No need to pay those ridiculous prices for them on ePay anymore. I have a vintage 1950's brass trac II razor so keep some blades for it handy and use it for touchup once in a while. Just check out your local Wallymart.

Default Name that blade - photo

Unfortunately, I currently live on a beach in Nicaragua, with the nearest chain drug store and TRAC II compatible blades a thousand miles away. Here is a pic of the cartridges I bought. Thanks for helping identify them.

they seem like atra cartriges, the sensor ones are more flatfaced and square,
poor kid, you should have a backup DE around,

    Default Thanks

Thanks Aevum for the ID. Initially, when I sent the Vision 2000 back to the Fatherland for repair I just grew a beard, but the girlfriend found it too abrasive. Luckily, a friend is coming in from Miami Monday and will stop at a Walmart on the way to pick up some TRAC II blades for me. I guess I should have held on to my vintage Gillette DE to use as a back up.
