I'd love to wear nothing buy Hugo Boss, but sadly it's out of price range. So I'm looking to get a few suits in a moderate price range. What's the best out there?

On topic, I've had good luck at Filene's Basement. You'll need to find a local tailor, but should end up with suits along the lines of Boss and Freeman at substantially lower prices. It's a bit of a crapshoot for you, Tim, since the nearest Filene's to you is in Columbus (their Chicago store is much larger, though), but could well be worth the trip.
I go to Mens Wearhouse for all of my suits.
Of course, not everyone looks good in it.
How much are you willing to spend? Oxxford is worth the extra; tailor-made quality @ off-the-rack price. Check the tailors, they are often very reasonable compared to off-the-rack and get them with heel stays and buttons for proper braces (suspenders). Avoid "fashion designer" brands; just paying extra for a name. Gray or blue are usually safe colors in plain not pattern.
