Blade aligning question

I just received my Parker 22R TTO and had a nice shave today using a Derby blade. After I finished I noticed that the blade was fairly even on both sides, but had some over hang on one of the sides. I have also noticed this on my Merkur HD.


Question is simple enough, as long as the blade appears straight, does it matter if one end has more showing?

Are we talking about extra overhang on one of the cutting edges, or on the ends of the blade?

If it works, don't fix it.

cutting edge. There seems to be more on one side than the other. It is working and it seems fine. So do not change a thing, right?

If you're not noticing the difference on your face, leave it alone.

Is one side more aggressive than the other? Maybe you modify your pass routine accordingly. Just a thought.
