Uneven Bevel

I picked up a couple razors to learn honing. After a little work I noticed one side of the bevel is nearly twice the size if the other. I assume it was honed unevenly in the past. Should I tape one side to change the bevel, hone one side until it's even or not worry about it? It seems like it should affect the quality of the edge.

I'm slowly progressing. I have a blade that passes the hanging hair test but I haven't tried shaving with it. Maybe this week.

Usually a bevel becomes uneven because as you hone certain areas of the blade are getting more hone time than others. You can usually correct this by applying a tad more pressure to areas where the bevel is smaller and watching your strokes. Usually the bevel issue is a cosmetic thing and has no effect on the actual performance of the razor.
