ABC (American Button Company), of course, produced the Pocket Editions for Gillette with similar ornate handles. Could this have been an unbranded version of the longer stem Old Type produced by them?
Don't know what it is but it sure is a beauty!
I don't own any stocks or bonds. All my money is tied up in debt. George Carlin
Wow, very nice Achim. It appears you've found another gem! I wish I could help, but that's nothing I've ever seen before. Could have been custom-made. Does it have any markings at all? It definitely looks like silver plate at least, if not sterling like the Gillette-licensed Tiffany & Gorham razors.

all i know is if i dont find that razor i will NOT die a happy man.

Wow! Well, the head looks a lot like the classic Gillette- could it be a custom-make, one of a kind... I want to say it is highly likely that parts of it were made in the Gillette factory![]()
that shiel/plate, looks like its ment for initials to be engraved. nice razor!

the razor comes in this case. All looks like Gillette, but there are no markings on the razor or case.

Well, Achim you stumped me again. man that is one beautiful razor though. What's your plan? Selling it? Let me know as I would be interested for sure.
I have a brush and soap mug that matches it very nicely.
