I was in the drug store yesterday, picking up some glycerin to experiment with, and found a bottle of pure aloe vera. It's sort of a thin gel consistency. I used it after this mornings shave in addition to my usual witch hazel and ASB and it felt pretty good. It's probably too early to tell, but this may have some potential. Does anyone else use aloe vera?

When I made my return to shaving, and was going through experiment phases Aloe vera gel was my go to when I was suffering from irritation. Works wonderfully well after a facial scrub before bed. I would wake up with a smooth face, feeling good!
A definite must-have.

If you check labels, many AS(B) have:
Witch Hazel and Aloe
listed in their ingredients.
Very easy to custom make your own skin foods.
Just add your favorite AS Splash ( like Aqua Velva) to the mix and youre good to go.
I also add just a bit moisturizer with SPF to some of my blends.

That's a great idea. I gave up evening facial scrubs because of irritation. I'll try that tonight.
May sting a little initially, but is really very good. I'm re-visiting my use of Aloe Vera as my weekend experiment. I'll post results.
