That's a difficult question to answer. It depends upon how good your technique is and how your beard grows. Some guys say they are BBS for a whole day. I've always felt the beginnings of stubble, in one direction or another, a few hours after I've shaved, no matter what I've shaved with. If my shave is comfortable and my face is smooth after I shave, I don't worry about how long it is before I can feel stubble. Besides me, the only one feeling my face is my wife.

    with a SE - 10 hours

    with a DE - 12 hours

keep in mind i dont go for BBS and there is no ATG pass involved.

No you cannot. Shaving with DE is just shaving, stubble comes as soon as with a cartridge razor

With a good clean shave I look 'presentable' for about 24 hours. This however does not mean that I am free of stubble, it appears after about 8 to 12 hours.

I can feel stubble after a few hours -- 4 or 5, maybe a bit longer, I haven't really timed it. Looks are a different matter. From far enough away, I am even damn handsome.

My stubble starts coming in heavily after about 6-7 hours.

Then it looks like I didn't shave that day. Even if I get BBS that happens.

I stay clean for about 6 or 7 hours, then I can start to feel the stubble. After that things deteriorate pretty rapidly for me.

Usually 5-6 hours, maybe a bit more on a particularly good day. I will look presentable all day.

I have a heavy beard and shave at night. If I use my Muhle R89 or Rocket, loaded with a green boxed 7 0'Clock blade,I still feel smooth wtg after 15 hours.Try that with a cartridge razor.

After 10 hours I can feel the stubble coming back but it feels worse than it looks.

Same here, though by 5-6pm (11-12 hours after I shave), I have a noticeable 5 o'clock shadow. Just like my avatar, i have light skin, a dark thick beard, and always have at least a faint muzzle around my face.

I get m3 style 5o'clock shadow about 24 hours later. But i can feel it begin about 8 hours after bbs.

Come to think of it - ive just enough stubble to justify a shave right now! (its 1:30am in Australia)

Have a fairly heavy, coarse beard but feel no stubble for 19 hours after a BBS shave from my Futur or 39c slant and look presentable for over 30 hours so I usually just shave every other day.

I look fine for the day, but I can feel the stubble a few hours afterwards. There is improvement using a DE razor vrs the cheap disposables that I used before.
