Finally finished off Ogallala Bay Rum After shave splash. My first finished product was so good I ordered a spare. Next time i will order the lime and Peppercorn version even though I do love the original.

So far, this past year, 2 Williams pucks, 2 VDH pucks, 1 Pirate's Cove Menthol puck, (OK, I threw them away when I realized they were in the way of me getting something new and exciting to replace them with), and 1 bottle of my favorite hair stuff. I've only replaced the hair stuff, but due to the fact that nothing else is even remotely looking like it's running out, I am thinking that I won't be coming back here to post any future product exhaustions until about 2011. It's multiplying, I'm pretty sure.

I've been doing pretty well at selling and trading stuff off, but it just keeps coming! Here's a warning, stated tongue in cheek, but true nontheless: If you order samples, while you've got nice full tubes, tubs, and pucks on the shelf, you're doomed. You might as well throw in the towel, because you'll never be able to use it all. When that realization sets in, then just pick out the 4 or 6 of the ones that you just can't live without, and stick to those. It's nirvana to be able to know you're going to have a wonderful shave every day of the week. Life's too short to experiment with, and risk being disappointed by, strange mediocre (and expensive) stuff. Use the very best, according to YOUR taste, and ignore the rest!

This is a pep talk I've been giving myself for about 2 months now. I'm trying, but there are at least 2 more that I've just gotta have before I can stop. Doggone it, see what I mean!

The only way I've found, that works for about a month, or 2 weeks, is if my wife just flat orders me to stop buying shaving stuff.

. . . He went around back and into the basement because he was hungry. He ate cold beans out of a can and drank some water, and then he saw the small mirror Parker had bought with the razor and the can of lather. He looked at himself and knew he had to take a chance on staying long enough to shave. He shaved, and that made him feel better. . .

Come February i'll have been wet shaving for 2 years.

In that time i've thrown away:

    1 Tube of Proraso
    1 Proraso ASB
    1 Proraso Pre/Post

They all ran out at about the same time, right afterwords i had a SCAD and ASAD attack. I now have so may soaps, creams, and aftershaves that i dont think i'll ever run out.

I do have a puck of Williams thats almost gone that i've been grinding on for the last 2 weeks, i dont know why, but i've been using Williams more often than my TOBS or Tabac.
    Williams = BBS!

I've killed three bottles of Speick aftershave splash. Does that count? Plus several tubes of Speick cream.

Come to think of it, Speick seems to be the only stuff I empty on a regular basis. Hmmmm.......

In the last 12 months, the only thing I finished is a bottle of Aqua Velva which was quicly replaced (I love the stuff).

I am almost done with my Speick Aftershave (which will also be quickly replaced with another bottle. I just wished they made a bigger bottle).
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met.

I threw out a piece of a VDH puck, mainly because I ruined it with EO's. Oh, well, I certainly got my 3 bucks out of it.

I just threw out a puck of "de vergulde hand" after using it once (it will most certainly not be replaced!!) and finished a mug of Nizzy soap "frisse frits". It was more than ok but there will be no replacement since I am more a tallow man and it was simply not good enough for another go.

Another bottle of Aqua Velva and soon I'll be popping in with news that my third tube of Speick is a done deal...some of you may remember the pictures.

Just finished off a bottle of Gillette Fusion balm. Completely meh about it. If I replace it with another balm I'll probably go Nivea penting suggestions from the peanut gallery.

    1 puck of Williams
1 puck of Burts Bees Bay Rum *bought a second, but can't get it to lather*
    1 bottle Aqua Velva
    1 bottle Old Spice
2 medium bottles of Drakkar Noir
1 no-name possibly badger brush, that somehow got bleached and shed
1 Mach 3 *glad its gone*

I think thats about it. I've been wet shaving since I started, but only recently have I woken up to using a proper razor instead of a Mach3.

    Recently I pollished off ...

... a bottle of Pashana Hair Tonic ... love the stuff and already had another waiting under the sink!

    ... a tub of Proraso Pre-shave ... ditto.

... and a bottle of TOBS sandalwood aftershave splash. The scent is just too 'old man' for me, so I won't be replacing it (at least for a few decades ... maybe when I'm a grandfather and want to watch WWII movies with my grandson ... )
Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.
