    Default P. 160

Last Saturday, I saw a thread about P. 160 and emailed Superlather.com..They got back to me in no time..After a little back and forth, I wanted to try the Semisoft..Mark said that "he didn't have any..But instead of telling me to wait, he said he would send me a sample gratis .." It was too late to ship Saturday..So, he said it would ship Monday, I got it Wednesday..

I set my expectations low, too low in fact..The first thing I noticed was this terrific almond scent..I poured hot water on top while I washed my face and prepped..I poured the water off the soap, into my shaving bowl, and loaded the brush..I added a teaspoon of water to the bowl, whipped the lather for a minute, added another teaspoon of water, whipped two minutes more..Lather was all over the place..The soap lathers very well and provides more than enough cushion to make this hard soap guy happy..Great shave..YMMV

I see why a lot of fans like P. 160..You can add my name to the list..Mark, thanks for this new shaving treat..

    Best regards,

    Julian

    P. 160 is a great soap. Smells great, performs great. There's just something about those Italian barbers...

It is truely nice but I hope I still like it a decade or so from now. Using it in rotation with other soaps this kilo is going to last, and last....

It has a much sweeter, more prominent scent. I'd even go so far to say that it smells somewhat similar to the C&E SAO.

I have the hard variety, but that is still a rather soft soap. I think the soft variety will be closer to a cream.

It is very nearly that. The semisoft aka hard is the way to go when it comes to travel.
