Good Luck and Stay Dry.
From your friends in California.
We don't get the hurricanes - just earthquakes and wildfires.

to those in the path:
first, several of my family from Mobile area are coming my way;
second, if you're still there, and remarkably on B&B, and coming to NE Texas, my church is opening our gym as a shelter, we did this with both Katrina and Rita, but if you're a B&Ber, I'll make sure at least your shaves are like home...
God bless
After Monday and Tuesday, even the rest of the week goes W T F
Thanks for the good wishes, I'll be here in New Orleans at work at WDSU TV ch6 for the duration untill after the storm passes. If the group decides to leave I'll be with them. At least I have my Mergress and a seletion of blades my Rooney 2/1 and soaps and creams. So I figure I will be fine I just have to make sure there is good water. The National Guard has been here and are all over the place so it should not be as bad as befor three years ago. I'll keep ya'll posted when I can.
Eddie
There is a slew of folks here from all over the country to cover it for the station. The good thing is that I work in the studio and not in the field so I will be dry and full of food.
Eddie
I was living in New Orleans for Katrina. Obviously I have since left the city, but I remember what I was feeling 3 years ago, and I wish the best to those going through the same thing now. Stay safe and dry, and by all means get the hell out of dodge now if you possibly can. The highways are going to be choked tomorrow all day, even once they institute contra-flow.
I know what ya mean, The roads have been clogged all afternoon. I'll have to say the city and state is much better prepaired this time around.

Or does anyone ese notice the apparent dissapointment of the CNN reporters on the lack of destruction so far in NO? Also, did anyone else see the Glee-fest between Michael Moore and Keith olberman at the thought of New Orleans getting hit again during the GOP convention? shameful!

It looks like the worst may not be happening. Thank goodness. I really love New Orleans, and my friends and colleagues there have been through enough already.
