    Default I like shaving???

    Hey everyone,

Im a newbie and just started wetshaving a week ago. I have been lurking on this forum for a few days and I just wanted to say thanks for all the tips I have gotten. This is a great place and I plan to spend many a hours here. I just got a Merkur HD safty razor and am using Palmolive and a badger hair brush. For the first time I actually LIKE shaving. That is about it, I felt I should let everyone know that I have come out of the shadows to join the community full time!

Welcome, Shawn! Your choice of a Merkur HD was a good one. And I read your post on Aqua Velva; I wrote one earlier today on another "oldie" aftershave, Mennen Skin Brace (today known as Mennen Original). With all the neat smells on the market, I still like some of the old cheapie stuff -- they smell very good and feel great! The ladies will let you know what's working best!

I've always enjoyed shaving, but now that I'm back with blades, it's a lot more fun. I hope you'll continue to enjoy your experiences.

You'll enjoy the interaction on this site and you'll learn a whole lot. Glad you're with us. Keep us posted. And good luck with school; personally, I'm just glad I'm it's in my past.

I never liked shaving. Now that I am using a DE I hate it much less, but I still can't go as far as saying I enjoy it.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

    Mason-
I think I am partially crazy for enjoying such a ordinary thing. At first I just thought it would be something that I would do and not hate but I actually look forward to it.

    Hi Shawn,

I also just joined recently, but have enjoyed shaving for years. Most guys hate it, tolerate it, or just accept it as a fact of being a man. I think you'll find most of the guys here embrace it. I wish I could look forward to things like trimming my nails the way I do shaving, but I doubt that will ever happen.

Wet shaving is soothing, it's cheaper than a massage and healthier than drinking.
    Relax...Take it easy...Enjoy the lather.

    Shawn:
My experience was the same; I actually look forward to shaving now. Welcome aboard!

    Welcome Shawn!

That is what is so great about wetshaving- taking an ordinary, must get through it task and turning it into something to be looked forward to each day.

    Default laser?

Walking the dog at noon I passed a sign about laser hair removal. I remember thinking about it as an option to free up 20 min a day.
