    Default Rooney "Super" v. "Finest"

Ok, I've read some on this, and the general consensus seems to be that the "Super" is really soft on the face, and a good grade of hair. I guess my question is this.......is a "Super" Rooney equivalent to many manufacturer's "Silvertip"......or slightly below??? If not, is the "Finest" Rooney's version of Silvertip, and is it worth the extra money versus the "Super"???

silver tips .It is very soft and a joy to use.

My answer would be yes as far as the Rooney Super being more like your typical high quality Silvertip, but the Finest is a totally different beast.
The Rooney Finest uses a very firm badger hair that many find to be a little too prickly at the tips, but which I find quite appealing.
I guess that it just comes down to what you prefer. Do you like an agressive scrubbing type of brush? Or do you want to be pampered by soft luxurious bristles?

The Super is soft on the face, with just a hint at exfoliation. If you want what I think is the softest bristle on the market but with a strong backbone so there is no flop whatsoever, I would suggest the Heritage Rooney series. Though they say its simply sorted Super bristles, the Heritage bristles are much softer and the brushes are more densely packed.

The finest grade is resilient, firm and somewhat scritchy. HOWEVER - it softens considerably with use. If you do get a finest, don't judge it after the first 10 or 12 uses - it just keeps getting better and better (typical of all true whites). In addition, the finest grade looks stunning in almost any handle. The super is silky and softer, more like Simpson's best.
