C&E BBB Backordered?

I ordered a best badger brush from C&E a few days ago and it still hasn't shipped. Does anyone know if they have their best badger backordered? This is very odd.

Don't take my word for this, but I read on another thread where C&E was getting ready to discontinue their brush. Don't know if it was going to be replaced with something else or done away with all together. Best advice is give their 800 # a call.

They got back to me and they said that it would ship tomorrow. I ordered on Monday and it won't ship until Thursday, the slowest processing I've ever seen.

Glad to hear that they are still shipping. I guess I need to get that order in pronto before they do end up out of stock.

I was in a C&E recently. The lady in the shop told me the obvious - that the company has been pulling a lot of the shave line. No more Sandalwood cream in the tube or puck, no more SAO, no more Sienna in the tube or puck, etc. They've made a horrible decision pulling the SAO if you ask me.

The tone the woman in the shop used with me seemed to hint that C&E was possibly aiming to shrink their shaving line. Pulling the BBB would be awful. Maybe Joel conspired with C&E so that the benchmark beginner brush would become the BBE.

It's difficult to tell whether they're doing this or just phasing some products out to make room for new products. Has anyone seen C&E do something like this with regards to their shaving line?

I think they pulled the BBB from their product line a while ago then reintroduced it back. When I heard that they were offering it again, I jumped at the chance.

Makes you wonder, will this happen to razor blades in the future, or even shaving soaps?

Whatever they're doing - they're not doing in vain. If they're pulling products/items - it's because they either 1.) Can't get 'em anymore 2.) Their cost for the item has gone up (weakening dollar) and they don't feel they can sell them at the prices they'd have to charge 3.) The items just aren't selling much.

They have been very pleasant to deal with and actually shipped Fedex for free if your order was over $55. This has been a few months. They also throw in quite a few freebies as well.

I ordered the Edwin Jagger Best Badger brush, which is the same as the C&E, from The English Shaving Co. this past Sat. and I got mine today! It shipped from Sheffield, England!

I just come from Printemps department store in Paris. I have bought a jar of Sweet Almond Oil shaving cream. There were only two left (one from then on ) but there were still a few SAO tubes (5 or 6 roughly; €15 each one). The SAO puck was quite expensive -€23!- but I do not regret my purchase as it was my last chance to try it.

Last time I spoke w/an employee at C&E in the Mall of America they said they probably would keep the Nomad, and the Naturals line, but the others would be phased out. We'll just have to see. What a shame. I love my Sienna Soap. He told me that the BBB would be sticking around though b/c they could hardly keep it on the shelves.

Same here I also went to the Galeries Lafayette department store today and their C&E display was only comprised of Nomad line...

Next week I think I will go to the Printemps and pick up remaining SAO and Sienna stuff before all is gone... My wallet will appreciate

They just emailed me back (I've been bugging them), and said my order was mailed Thurday and should be here today! Its kind of funny how they don't send you an email letting you know its shipped. Can't wait!
